Most people learn their way around the internet by trial and error.  Some are intuitively better than others when it comes to finding and evaluating information.  Everyone can benefit from instruction, however.  There are many internet sites offering instruction.  Many are provided by colleges and universities all over the world.  Some are very elementary, but others can be quite sophisticated in both the information contained and the manner in which is it presented.

Students in History 203 should investigate the tutorials placed on this page, and then work their way through at least one of them.  Following this, they should proceed to Internet Detective and proceed according to instructions.
